On Repeat: Savages - Silence Yourself

Man I have been craving some good old fashioned in-your-face-non-electronic ROCK lately.  Well I found it in the Savages' Silence Yourself  released earlier this year.  It's a refreshing dose of punk rock thrashing that brings me way back to my youth.  My Spotify playlist for this album has been getting a lot of work lately and it is definitely in the mix for my favorites of the year.  As a super awesome added bonus, I checked the concert listings and they are playing in Boston next week!  ROCK.

On Repeat: Django Django - Default

Add another album to the list of things that totally skipped me by in 2012.  The self titled album by this "psychadelic pop art" group out of London is pretty damn good.  I had only heard of these guys in passing but decided to give them a listen on Spotify recently and I have to say I am bummed I missed them when they played in Boston a few weeks ago.

I haven't listened to a song on repeat (many times in a day) in a while until this one:

On Repeat: Benoit & Sergio - 100 Dollar Bill

Hot Creations, the music label owned by Lee Foss and Jamie Jones, has been releasing great tracks at a blistering pace.  These guys were at the top of their game last year and they don't show any signs of slowing down.  Loving this jam which was released digitally on Monday.  A great production all around.

The hook is great:

I got a hundred dollar bill in my back pocket and I already forgot that I got a girlfriend cause these days is long but the night is young you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you....
